Youth Rugby Tours from Ireland to South Africa
June Highlights with Pure-Travel Youth | From Ireland to Mzansi 🇮🇪➡️🇿🇦
June was nothing short of electric here at Pure-Travel Youth. We hosted two incredible youth rugby tours to South Africa, blending strong team performances, stunning landscapes, and powerful cultural exchange moments.
This month reminded us why we’re so passionate about curating educational travel experiences for students: they spark curiosity, build character, and leave young travellers with stories they’ll tell for a lifetime.
Two Irish Rugby Tours, One Southern African Adventure
We had the pleasure of hosting the Belvedere College Rugby Group and the Crescent College Rugby Group, led by our experienced tour leaders Sumeshnee Reddy and Benedikt Weist.
The students touched down in Cape Town, starting their adventure at the iconic Hotel Sky, before diving into an itinerary filled with sport, sightseeing, and South African flavour.

What Our Tour Leaders Had to Say
Sumeshnee Reddy (Belvedere Rugby Group)
“The boys played exceptionally well, winning all their matches and showing real team spirit throughout. They loved the local food, and the cultural stops gave them a broader view of South African life. It was a rewarding tour with strong friendships formed along the way.”
Benedikt Weist (Crescent College Rugby Group)
“Everything ran smoothly. A real standout moment was the surfing session at Muizenberg — the boys had a full hour in the waves, and a few even picked it up quite quickly. They were also fascinated by the size of the malls, and the food was a big hit — especially the steaks and seafood.”
